Yes! I fully agree, J.E. The tools and techniques support the work, but they are not the essence of the work. Many of our wounds took place in relationships, and healing happens within a relationship too.

J.E. Thank you I found myself rather liking this write up. It puts a bit of the struggle to but therapy and what some of us do in the room itself. I've never loved diagnosing a person but love sitting with a person discussing what ails and does not ail them. Discussing the human condition if you will.

There is something deeply comforting in what you write herein. Something resonates with me in what you are hitting upon. Ssomething about the container, the tools, the relationship, and what helps with healing to the extent any of us gets a slice of this.

And it leaves me wanting more like if this part of a book - I'd want to keep reading.

Nice! I think that is a lot of what therapy ends up doing right—helping each other think more about what interests us.
