It is so complicated--I agree with you.

I also understand the intense socio-cultural pressures that we face--especially women--from birth. The media, advertisements, the language we use--it goes on and on. Look at those faces in the news right now?

The messages start so early and we are surrounded. Where do you draw the line? Coloring your hair or facelifts? I don't have the answer. Just many questions.

I was immensely disappointed when my gyn (a woman) began offering all sorts of cosmetic surgery and "improvements". I'd much rather she focus on "Acceptance as the Ultimate Rebellion". She could have such an impact, given the many women that she sees.

We are all swimming in this crazy swamp called culture.
