Yes. There was an older article that I wrote and I tested a different AI detector (not the one on Substack) which called it 100% AI generated. But this is now a well known issue in academia where students who are just learning to write or are being diligent about their grammar have been falsely accused of using generative AI completely fabricating their personal stories. This can cause them to be given a failed grade or even expelled.
I've never seen the AI link, that I know of. Does that me if I post an essay or poem and follower or reader can run it thru Substacks AI, and will that show up if they restack the article I wrote?
Open up a Substack article written yesterday or today. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner. A window will pop up. Scroll down to where it reads: Scan for AI text. Tap that and it will rate the text by percentage of human or AI.
So now, people are outsourcing the question of their own human authenticity to something that has no idea what human authenticity is, because getting a good score (100% Human) feels like relief, and relief is easier to sit with than the actual unanswerable question underneath it.
Bottom line: AI could not have written that piece without your substantial and meaningful assistance. Keep doing you, using any tools you like!
